The National Theater of Greeland runs a theater school and María was invited to come teach Grotowsky method and improvisation. The year before the student had travelled to Iceland to do a workshop with her.

At the same time she did research for her new project about women in the Arctic.

“I flew to Nuuk in the fall dusk and stepped into this overwhelming vastness that is both beautiful and frightening. In the evening the Northern Lights danced above my head brighter than ever.

The National Theater is small and the school also. But what is not small is the power and depth in the artists that work there and their connection to the 5000 year old culture and their history in this white vastness. Everything is alive and connected – stones, ocean, sky, animals and people.
