María communicated the story of Melangel along with four singers and four musicians at Harpa music hall and Skálholt. Hanne Tofte Jespersen is the author of this musical theater piece but she was enchanted by the story of the pilgrim Melangel that became a hermit in an isolated valley in North Wales in the year 500. The poetry is written by Mike Harris, the Icelandic translation is done by Þórarinn Eldjárn.
