On the first Sunday of advent María gave the sermon “Prayer” by her great grandfather Haraldur Níelsson at the Free Lutheran Church of Reykjavík in his memory. Haraldur preached there from 1914-1928 and a long line would form at the church, people flocking to hear him speak.
