A TV comedy series about Lúðvík the Mayor of Reykjavík who can hardly remember what he promised or to whom.

María played the president of the City Counsil who has one to many drinks at a work party and ends up in the hot top with the enemy.

“In the Mayor I wanted to give the audience a rare insight into the bureaucracy, since I did this job once. The Mayor in the series desires only two things: a big jeep and a good wife. He is not a bad guy he is just a useless guy who lingers on. I have often wondered about guys like this who end up in a position and seem to hold on to it no matter how un capable and dysfunctional they are.  It all seems to end up well for them anyway.” – Interview with Jón Gnarr in Klapptré.
