A washed-up Broadway tap dancer (Keith Carradine) immigrates to Estonia, where he finds new success shortly before World War II. He falls for an engaged woman (Mia Kirshner), only to be separated when his act gets him in trouble with the Nazis (María Ellingsen), and Carradine must struggle to find her again. Mercedes Ruehl, Brian Dennehy and Judd Hirsch co-star.
